THE Ba Women’s Forum has received $100,000 to help fund trainers and administrators.

Forum president Dr Maria Doton said the memorandum of agreement (MOA) was a great boost to the organisation.

“We have over 79 (women’s) clubs in Ba by registration and we want to reach out to all,” she said.

“This will ensure our training centre will become a real school for the women and allow them to gain entrepreneurial knowledge and gain skills in one particular area.”

She said they conducted training sessions for six months, allowing women to specialise in making a product and selling it.

She said they were targeting to bring at least a representative from each of the 79 clubs to participate in the trainings.

Women’s Minister Mereseini Vuniwaqa said the forum had proven to be an exceptionally dedicated and successful women’s NGO in the country.
