ONE hundred scholarships would be offered to Fijian and other Pacific Islanders from the Israeli Government to study advanced agriculture at the prestigious Arava International Center for Agriculture Training.

While announcing the new scholarships, yesterday, Israeli President Reuven Rivlin said this was an expansion from the 19 scholarships offered last year to Fijian and Vanuatu agriculture students.

“I am proud to announce today the establishment of 100 new scholarships every year for agricultural students from the Pacific to train at the Arava College in Israel starting in August 2020.

“This will build on the successful pilot with students from Fiji and Vanuatu.”
