100 Fijian children receive treatment from Shriners

ALMOST 100 Fijian children suffering from orthopaedic conditions have received treatment at the Shriners Hospital for Children in Hawaii, United States of America.

Since 2012, the hospital, through the Wings of the Morning Ministry Trust (Fiji), has assisted the 100 Fijian children by sending them for free treatment.

These children are usually accompanied to the Shriners Hospital for Children by a parent.

This year, about six children have travelled abroad to receive treatment.

A team of visiting doctors from the hospital are also expected to carry out another visit to Fiji next year in the hopes of identifying other children eligible for treatment.
