10 participants for the ‘Know India Program’

TEN people will be flying to India for a 25 day tour under the ‘Know India Program’ this Friday, October 25, 2018.

High Commissioner to India Vishvas Sapkal while briefing the ten participants said that this was the 48th edition of the program.

He said the participants would be traveling to Delhi, see places such as the Taj Mahal in Agra and will also visit two Northeast states of India that are Mizoram and Manipur.

Mr Spakal said they will be seeing India from all perspectives such as political, cultural, economical, tourist places and monuments.

The Government of India is spending around $10,000 per participant for this tour trip.

Karan Narayan of Nadi who is one of the participants says he is excited to seeing his ancestral land.

The 24-year-old said he is the first person in his family to be traveling to India and he wants to see if what he has seen as the culture of India through television is true.
