Youth conference ends in Suva

THE Local Youth Conference of Fiji which has the objective to provide capacity building and policy training to prepare youths for their involvement in the upcoming climate negotiations was officially closed today at the Holiday Inn in Suva by the President Jioji Konrote.

The conference is a gathering of young people passionate about environmental and climate change issues.

It also facilitates the sharing of knowledge and experience in the broader context of climate change between the participants building and enhancing youth networks and movements to create an open forum of discussion and a Talanoa dialogue where everyone has equal opportunities to share their
knowledge and experiences.

The outcomes of this LCOY will contribute to the Talanoa Dialogue process led by the Fiji COP23 Presidency.

The three-day workshop consisted of 60 participants from Fiji, Solomon Islands and Germany.
