Young Se Ni Teteva girls on fire in Lautoka

THE Se Ni Teteva under-15 team was unstoppable during the Lautoka Netball Association second round of competition at Lautoka’s multi-purpose courts on Saturday.

The Nadi-based team stamped its dominance as they hammered Nat Fidelity 40-7 in a one-sided affair.

The win has enabled the side to maintain their unbeaten run in the competition and looks set to win another title for the defending champions.

Club president Lala Sowane said fitness has been the major contributing factor to the team’s success.

She said the players trusted and understood one another well on and off the field.

“Our under-15 is packed with so much talent and ably led by their captain and GS, Mela Tuidraki and in time they will start to make their mark as the season progresses,” said Lala.

“We have such a variety of talents who form our teams and these are evident in our under 15s and senior team.

“Fitness has always been our mainstay and our girls trust amongst themselves and it is always challenging to ensure that we give our players game time and when they are given that opportunity, our girls trust each other to deliver. “

Meanwhile, it was a double celebration for the IEW Lomaiviti team after the Lomaiviti Mystics was stretched to the wire by a tough Nat Fideltty Royal 34-32 in the premier grade while the Lomaiviti Mights defeated Vuda Green 29-19 in the super premier competition.
