WALK  on Walk Strong (WOWS) Kids Fiji is emphasizing   on early detection to help save lives of children suffering with cancer in the country.

This calls comes after five children lost their battles to cancer in the first half of this year.

Walk on Walk Strong (WOWS) Kids Fiji team leader Viola Lesi said eight new cases had been identified this year and they were working tirelessly to help these children get treatments and support.

“This is where the importance of early detection plays a pivotal role in saving lives. This is why we are always emphasizing to parents to have their children checked at the nearest hospital as soon as children show symptoms,” Ms Lesi said.
