THE FASANOC Women in Sports Commission is hosting a workshop that focuses on understanding impairment, disability, and handicap.

Chairperson Hamidan Bibi said that in delivering the Sports and Working with Persons with Disability and Carers of Persons with Disabilities Program, the commission sought to actively engage with carers and persons with disabilities in a safe and fun environment while participating in sports.

The program – which begins tomorrow at the FDPF Premises in Suva – is funded by the International Olympic Committee (IOC).

The program, hosted in partnership with the Fiji Paralympic Committee, Fiji Disabled People’s Federation, WHO’s International Classification of Functioning, Disability and Health; as well as Physical Activity and Sports.
