Website for Chinese agents

SOUTH Pacific travel specialists can now access all their training material and modules in both English and Chinese language but on a specially designed website for Chinese travel agents.

The new website was an initiative of the South Pacific Tourism Organisation which, through European Union funding the website was designed and updated in mainland China for this purpose.

The Pacific Islands Trade and Invest arm of the Pacific Islands Forum Secretariat based in Beijing, China worked closely last month with the SPTO to ensure the development of the website.

“China is the world’s largest outbound tourism market with 98.19 million Chinese travelling abroad in 2013. That’s an increase of 18 per cent compared to 2012, with the outbound expenditure reaching $US128.7billion ($F247b) an increase of 26.8 per cent over 2012.”
