Weather watch: Strong wind warning for Fiji waters

A STRONG wind warning remains in force for the Fiji waters.

The marine weather bulletin issued from the National Weather Forecasting Centre in Nadi at 11am this morning a strong win warning remains in force for the Yasawa and Mamanuca waters, Southwest Viti Levu waters, Northern Lau waters, Northern Vanua Levu waters and the Vatu-i-Ra and Kadavu passages.

The bulletin further states a high pressure system to the south of Fiji directs a moderate to strong southeast wind flow over the group.

As for the forecast to midday tomorrow for Fiji waters expect Southeast winds 20 to 25 knots with rough seas and moderate southerly swells.

The further outlook there will also be Southeast winds 20 to 25 knots, rough sea and moderate southerly swells.
