Weather watch: Showers forecast for northern parts of Fiji

A WEAK trough of low pressure lies just to the north of the Fiji group.

The weather bulletin issued from the National Weather Forecasting Centre in Nadi at 12:03pm today forecasts an associated cloud and showers to affect the northern parts of Fiji.

The forecast to midnight tomorrow for the Fiji group expects cloudy periods with brief showers over the northern and eastern parts of Vanua Levu, eastern parts and interior of the other larger islands.

Otherwise, it will be fine apart from isolated afternoon or evening showers elsewhere.

There will also be moderate to fresh Southeast winds with moderate to rough seas.

The outlook for Sunday, expect cloudy periods with few showers over the eastern parts and interior of the larger islands.

It will be fine elsewhere and cool at night.
