Weather watch: Flood warning for low-lying areas

Update: 2:07PM A FLOOD warning remains in force for low-lying areas, small streams, and areas adjacent to the Naqali stations.
This was confirmed in a special weather bulletin number three for flood issued from the RSMC in Nadi at 6am today.
The bulletin also states a flood alert in force for all low-lying areas, small streams and areas adjacent to Waimanu stations.
The water level at the Naqali station was 4.16m at 6am, which is 1.1m above warning level and decreasing.
Also, the level at Waimanu station was 3.96m at 6am, which is 0.04m below alert level and decreasing.
Meanwhile, a trough of low pressure with associated cloud and rain remains slow moving over the northern parts of the Fiji group.
It is expected to intensify and affect most parts of the group from midday today.
