Weather watch: Expect showers, isolated heavy falls

A TROUGH of low pressure to the South of Fiji is gradually moving northwards towards the group.

It is expected to affect the group from later today.

A weather bulletin issued from the National Weather Forecasting Centre in Nadi at 3:31pm yesterday afternoon said another weak trough of low pressure to the North of Fiji was expected to gradually move South towards the group and affect the country from later today.

As for the forecast to midnight tomorrow for the Fiji group, there will be showers becoming occasional with isolated heavy falls and thunderstorm over the Southern parts of Viti Levu, including Sigatoka and the Coral Coast, Lomaiviti group and the Lau group from tomorrow.

Expect cloudy periods with some showers over the eastern parts and the interior of the larger islands.

Elsewhere, fine apart from isolated afternoon or evening showers and cool at nights.
