THE semi-finals of the Fiji Sikh Sports Association Vodafone-sponsored Inter- District Championship will be played at a later date.
Tournament organisers took precautionary measures into account to defer the event because of the deteriorating condition of the Korovuto College grounds and the power outage in Nadi.
Fiji Sikh Sports Association tournament president Ranvir Singh said a committee meeting would be held to decide the venue for the remainder of the pool matches, the semi-finals and final.
Singh, who is the Vodafone territory executive Nadi/Lautoka, said the semi-final qualifiers had not been decided.
“There were 20 minutes remaining in the match between Nadi and Tavua when it was called off because of the power failure,” he said.
“The pool game between Rewa and Tailevu is remaining. After the completion of the pool games, the semi-finalist will be decided.”
The last Fiji Sikh Sports Association IDC was held in 2015.
Ba won the tournament at Khalsa College ground, remaining unbeaten in the round robin competition, recording four wins and a draw.
