A STRONG WIND WARNING REMAINS IN FORCE FOR ALL LAND AREAS OF FIJI.

Situation: A high pressure system to the south of Fiji directs a
strong cool southeast winds flow over the group. Meanwhile, a trough
of low pressure to the north of Fiji is expected to gradually drift
south.

Associated cloud and showers are expected to affect the
northern parts of the group from later Wednesday and spreading to
most parts of the group by Thursday.

Forecast to midnight tonight for the Fiji group:
Strong southeast winds with average speed of 45km/hr and momentary
gusts of 60km/hr.
Fine apart from brief showers over the eastern parts and interior of
the larger islands. Mainly fine elsewhere.
Cool nights.
Rough to very rough seas.

Outlook for Wednesday : Strong southeast winds with average speed of
45km/hr and momentary gusts of 60km/hr. Rain developing and becoming
frequent and heavy with squally thunderstorms over the northern and
parts of the group. Elsewhere, cloudy periods with some showers.
Isolated thunderstorms possible

For Navua / Suva / Nausori :
Fine apart from brief showers. Cool nights
Outlook for Wednesday : Strong southeast winds with average speed of
45km/hr and momentary gusts of 60km/hr. Cloudy periods with some
showers. Isolated thunderstorms possible.

For Sigatoka / Coral Coast:
Fine apart from brief showers. Cool nights
Outlook for Wednesday : Strong southeast winds with average speed of
45km/hr and momentary gusts of 60km/hr. Afternoon or evening showers
and possible thunderstorms.

For Nadi / Lautoka / Ba :
Mainly fine. Cool nights.
Outlook for Wednesday : Strong southeast winds with average speed of
45km/hr and momentary gusts of 60km/hr. Afternoon or evening showers
and possible thunderstorms.

For Rakiraki/Tavua:
Mainly fine. Cool nights.
Outlook for Wednesday : Strong southeast winds with average speed of
45km/hr and momentary gusts of 60km/hr. Afternoon or evening showers
and possible thunderstorms.

For Labasa :
Mainly fine. Cool nights
Outlook for Wednesday : Strong southeast winds with average speed of
45km/hr and momentary gusts of 60km/hr. Rain developing and becoming
frequent and heavy with squally thunderstorms later in the day

For Savusavu : Fine apart from brief showers,. Cool nights
Outlook for Wednesday : Strong southeast winds with average speed of
45km/hr and momentary gusts of 60km/hr. Rain developing and becoming
frequent and heavy with squally thunderstorms later in the day

For Rotuma :
A STRONG WIND WARNING REMAINS IN FORCE FOR ALL LAND AND WATERS OF
ROTUMA.

Situation: A trough of low pressure with associated cloud and showers
remains slow moving over Rotuma.
Over land: Strong southeast winds with average speed of 45km/hr and
momentary gusts of 60km/hr.

Over waters: Strong southeasterly winds 20 to 25 knots, gusting to 30
knots.

Occasional showers, heavy at times and few thunderstorms.
Rough seas.

Outlook for Wednesday : Showers and few thunderstorms continuing.

Situation:
A high pressure to the south of Fiji directs a strong cool
southeasterly winds flow over Fiji.

Forecast to 6am tomorrow for Fiji waters:

Southeast winds 20 to 25 knots, gusting to 30 knots.
Rough to very rough seas.
Moderate southerly swells

Further outlook: Southeast winds 20 to 25 knots, gusting to 30
knots. Rough to very rough seas. Moderate southerly swells.
