A STRONG WIND WARNING REMAINS IN FORCE FOR ALL LAND AREAS OF FIJI.

Situation: A high pressure system to the south of Fiji directs a
strong cool southeast winds flow over the group. Meanwhile, a trough
of low pressure to the north of Fiji is expected to gradually drift
south. Associated cloud and rain is expected to affect the northern
parts of the group from later tonight, spreading to most parts of the
group by Thursday.

Forecast to midnight tonight for the Fiji group:
Fresh to strong southeast winds with speeds of 40 km/hr to 50km/hr
and momentary gusts of 60km/hr.
Cloudy periods with some showers over the eastern parts and interior
of the larger islands. Possible afternoon or evening showers
elsewhere. Rain and thunderstorms developing over the northern part
of the group from later tonight.
Rough to very rough seas.

Outlook for Thursday : Fresh to strong southeast winds with average
speed of 45km/hr and momentary gusts of 60km/hr. Occasional rain,
heavy at times and few squally thunderstorms over most places.

For Navua / Suva / Nausori :
Cloudy periods with some showers. Isolated thunderstorms possible.
Outlook for Thursday : Strong southeast winds with average speed of
45km/hr and momentary gusts of 60km/hr. Occasional rain, heavy at
times and few squally thunderstorms.

For Sigatoka / Coral Coast:
Cloudy periods with brief showers. Isolated afternoon or evening
thunderstorms possible.
Outlook for Thursday : Strong southeast winds with average speed of
45km/hr and momentary gusts of 60km/hr. Occasional rain, heavy at
times and few squally thunderstorms.

For Nadi / Lautoka / Ba :
Fine apart from possible afternoon or evening showers with isolated
thunderstorms.
Outlook for Thursday : Strong southeast winds with average speed of
45km/hr and momentary gusts of 60km/hr. Occasional rain, heavy at
times with few squally thunderstorms.

For Rakiraki/Tavua:
Fine apart from possible afternoon or evening showers with isolated
thunderstorms.
Outlook for Thursday : Strong southeast winds with average speed of
45km/hr and momentary gusts of 60km/hr. Occasional rain, heavy at
times with few squally thunderstorms.

For Labasa :
Fine apart from afternoon or evening showers and thunderstorms. Rain
and thunderstorms developing tonight.
Outlook for Thursday : Strong southeast winds with average speed of
45km/hr and momentary gusts of 60km/hr. Occasional rain, heavy at
times with few squally thunderstorms.

For Savusavu : Cloudy periods with some showers. Showers becoming
rain from tonight.
Outlook for Thursday : Strong southeast winds with average speed of
45km/hr and momentary gusts of 60km/hr. Occasional rain, heavy at
times with few squally thunderstorms.

For Rotuma :
A STRONG WIND WARNING REMAINS IN FORCE FOR ALL LAND AND WATERS OF
ROTUMA.

Situation: A trough of low pressure with associated cloud and showers
remains slow moving over Rotuma.
Over land: Strong southeast winds with average speed of 45km/hr and
momentary gusts of 60km/hr.

Over waters: Strong southeasterly winds 20 to 25 knots, gusting to 30
knots.
Occasional showers, heavy at times and few thunderstorms.
Rough seas.

Outlook for Thursday : Occasional rain, heavy at times and few
squally thunderstorms.

Situation:
A high pressure system to the south of Fiji directs strong cool
southeast winds over the group. Meanwhile, a trough of low pressure
to the north of Fiji is expected to gradually drift south. Associated
cloud and rain are expected to affect the northern parts of the group
from later tonight, spreading to most parts of the group by later
tomorrow.

Forecast to 6am tomorrow for Fiji waters:

Southeast winds 20 to 25 knots, gusting to 35 knots.
Rough to very rough seas.
Moderate southerly swells

Further outlook: East to southeast winds 20 to 30 knots, gusting to
40 knots. Rough to very rough seas. Moderate southerly swells.
