A DAMAGING HEAVY SWELL WARNING REMAINS IN FORCE FOR THE LOW LYING
COASTAL AREAS OF SOUTHERN VITI-LEVU, KADAVU, BEQA, VATULELE AND
NEARBY SMALLER ISLANDS, MAMANUCA, SOUTHERN LAU GROUPS.

SITUATION: A high pressure system to the far southwest of Fiji
generates and directs heavy southerly swells over the southern low
lying coastal areas of Fiji. Meanwhile, A frontal system with
associated cloud and showers affects Fiji.

Forecast to midnight tonight for the Fiji group:
Occasional showers over Kadavu, Lau and Lomaiviti Groups, the eastern
parts and interior of the larger islands. Elsewhere, some showers
especially in the afternoon or evening.
Isolated heavy falls and thunderstorms expected.
Sea flooding of low lying coastal areas of Southern Viti Levu,
Kadavu, Beqa, Vatulele and nearby smaller islands, Mamanuca and
southern Lau group expected.
Moderate east to southeast winds, fresh at times.
Moderate to rough seas.

Outlook for WEDNESDAY : Occasional showers over most places.

For Navua / Suva / Nausori :
Occasional showers. Isolated heavy falls expected.
Outlook for WEDNESDAY : Occasional showers.

For Nadi / Lautoka / Ba :
Some showers especially in the afternoon or evening with isolated
thunderstorms.
Outlook for WEDNESDAY : Occasional showers.

For Labasa :
Fine apart from afternoon or evening showers with isolated
thunderstorms.
Outlook for WEDNESDAY : Occasional showers.

For Savusavu : Occasional showers.
Outlook for WEDNESDAY : Occasional showers.

For Rotuma :
Occasional showers and few thunderstorms.
Moderate easterly winds.
Moderate seas. Moderate southerly swells.

A STRONG WIND WARNING REMAINS IN FORCE FOR KADAVU AND VATU-I-RA
PASSAGES SOUTHERN LAU GROUP, SOUTHERN KORO SEA AND SOUTHWEST VITI
LEVU, YASAWA AND MAMANUCA WATERS. A DAMAGING HEAVY SWELL WARNING
REMAINS IN FORCE FOR SOUTHWEST VITI LEVU, MAMANUCA, SOUTHERN LAU
WATERS, SOUTHERN KORO SEA AND KADAVU PASSAGE.

Situation:
An intense high pressure system to the far southwest of Fiji
generates and directs moderate to heavy swells over Fiji waters.

Forecast to midnight tonight for Fiji waters:
For Southern Lau, Southwest Viti Levu, Yasawa and Mamanuca waters,
Southern Koro Sea, Kadavu and Vatu-i-Ra Passages:

East to southeast winds 20 to 25 knots. Rough seas. Heavy Southerly
swells. Poor visibility in areas of heavy showers and thunderstorms.

Further outlook: East to southeast winds 20 to 25 knots, upto 30
knots at times. Rough to very rough seas. Moderate southerly swells.

For the rest of Fiji Waters:
East to southeast winds 15 to 20 knots. Moderate to rough seas.
Moderate southerly swells.

Further Outlook: East to southeast winds 15 to 20 knots. Moderate
to rough seas.
