A HEAVY RAIN WARNING REMAINS IN FORCE FOR THE WHOLE OF FIJI GROUP.

TROPICAL CYCLONE JOSIE CENTRE 994HPA CATEGORY 1 WAS LOCATED NEAR 18.9 SOUTH

177.1 EAST OR ABOUT 120 KILOMETRES WEST OF KADAVU AND 130 KILOMETRES

SOUTH-SOUTHWEST OF NADI AT 6:00 am. CLOSE TO ITS CENTRE THE CYCLONE IS EXPECTED

TO HAVE AVERAGE WINDS UP TO 75 KM/HR WITH MOMENTARY GUSTS TO 100 KM/HR. THE

CYCLONE MOVING EAST- SOUTHEAST AT ABOUT 25 KM/HR.

ON THIS TRACK, THE CYCLONE CENTRE IS EXPECTED TO BE LOCATED ABOUT 60 KILOMETRES

SOUTH-SOUTHEAST OF KADAVU AT 6:00 pm TODAY AND ABOUT 180 KILOMETRES SOUTHEAST OF

KADAVU AT 6:00 am TOMORROW.

DAMAGING GALE FORCE WINDS ARE LIKELY TO BEGIN A SEVERAL HOURS BEFORE THE CYCLONE

CENTRE PASSES NEARBY.
