Situation: Tropical depression TD09F located to the far
west-northwest of Fiji is gradually moving west-southwest further
away from the group. The associated trough of low pressure and rain
bands affects the group.
Forecast to midnight tonight for the Fiji group:
Strong northerly winds with average speed of 45km/hr gusting to
60km/hr over Yasawa and Mamanuca group, Lomaiviti group, Western Viti
Levu, Vanua Levu and nearby smaller islands with rough to very rough
seas. Winds easing from later today.
Elsewhere, Moderate to fresh northerly winds, gusty at times.
Occasional rain, heavy at times and few squally thunderstorms.
Rain gradually easing.
Localised heavy falls may lead to flooding of low lying areas.

Situation: A trough of low pressure remains slow moving over Rotuma.
Associated cloud and rain affects the island.
Over Land: Strong northerly winds with average speeds of 40km/hr to
55km/hr and gusting to 75km/hr.
Over Waters: Northerly winds 25 to 30 knots, gusting to 40 knots.
Rough to very rough seas.
Periods of heavy rain and squally thunderstorms.
Outlook for Wednesday : Rain and thunderstorms continuing.

For Yasawa and Mamanuca waters, Southwest Viti Levu Waters, Northern
Vanua Levu Waters, Vatu-i-Ra and Kadavu Passages:
Northerly winds 25 to 30 knots.
Rough to very rough seas.
Poor visibility in areas of heavy rain and thunderstorms.
Further outlook: Northerly winds 25 to 30 knots. Rough to very rough
seas. Moderate northerly swells.

Northerly winds 20 to 25 knots, gusting to 30 knots. Rough seas.
