A STRONG WIND WARNING REMAINS IN FORCE FOR LAND AREAS OF SOUTHERN LAU
GROUP AND IS NOW IN FORCE FOR ALL LAND AREAS OF FIJI .

A DAMAGING HEAVY SWELL WARNING REMAINS IN FORCE FOR:
LOW LYING COASTAL AREAS OF YASAWA AND MAMANUCA GROUP, SOUTHWEST VITI
LEVU, CORAL COAST TO PACIFIC HARBOUR, KADAVU, BEQA, VATULELE,
LOMAIVITI AND SOUTHERN LAU GROUP.

Situation: A high pressure to the far southwest of Fiji directs a
cool south to southeasterly winds flow over Fiji. Meanwhile, Ex-TC
Keni to the far southeast of Fiji continues to generate and direct
damaging heavy swells over the Fiji waters and coasts till later
Saturday.

Forecast to midnight tonight for the Fiji group:
For all land areas of Fiji: Strong southeasterly winds with average
speed of 45km/hr and momentary gusts of 70km/hr.
For Low Lying Coastal areas of Yasawa and Mamanuca group, Southwest
Viti Levu, Coral Coast to Pacific Harbour, Kadavu, Beqa, Vatulele,
Lomaiviti and Southern Lau group, expect sea flooding of low lying
coastal areas especially during high tides.
For Open Waters of Yasawa and Mamanuca waters, Southwest Viti Levu
waters, Koro Sea and Southern Lau waters expect damaging heavy
southerly swells.
Mainly fine. Cool nights.

Outlook for Saturday : Cloudy periods with some showers over the
eastern parts of the larger islands. Mainly fine elsewhere. Cool at
night.

For Navua / Suva / Nausori :
Mainly fine . Cool night. Expect sea flooding of low lying coastal
areas especially during high tides.

For Sigatoka / Coral Coast:

Situation: A trough of low pressure remains slow moving over Rotuma.
Associated cloud and rain affects the island.
Over waters: Strong northwesterly winds 20 to 25 knots, gusting to 30
knots.

Over land: Moderate to fresh northwesterly winds, gusty at times.
Occasional rain, heavy at times and few thunderstorms.
Rough seas.

Outlook for Saturday : Showers and few thunderstorms.

SOUTHERN LAU GROUP. A STRONG WIND WARNING REMAINS IN FORCE FOR ALL

Situation:

Meanwhile, Ex-TC Keni to the far

LOMAIVITI AND SOUTHERN LAU GROUP
