Update: 1:45PM PARTS of Lami areas will be experiencing low water pressure to no water at times during the day from today (March 18) to Monday (March 19).
A statement issued today by the Water
Authority of Fiji (WAF) says the affected areas include Lami Village, Qauia St,
Valenicina, Kalekana, Uduya, Panaromic, Muaivuso, Waiqanake and Veisari up to
Togalevu Naval Base.
“Customers residing in the areas
listed above are advised to store enough and use water wisely for their
immediate needs during the period,” WAF said.
“Water carts will be on standby to
service the affected areas as and when the need arises.”
Meanwhile according to WAF the
interruption in supply is as a result of a 450mm A/C Burst Main along Queens
Road before Isalei Road junction and the repair works is expected to be
completed by 6pm.
Supply is expected to be gradually
restored from tonight up to Monday morning (March 19)
