Update: 3:41PM FIJI’S Minister for Industry, Trade and Tourism Faiyaz Koya says the Wairabetia Economic Zone will present employment opportunities for between 10,000 to 15,000 people living in the area.
Speaking in Parliament this week, Mr Koya said the area would be a one-stop-shop with all the supporting infrastructure to entice ICT manufacturing and other service-based industries.
He said the Wairabetia Economic Zone was strategically placed in terms of access to the Nadi International Airport and Lautoka Port.
