THE Tavua football side will be out to register points when it takes on Nadi in the Vodafone Premier League today.

The gold town boys are seventh on the standings with eight points while Dreketi lies at the bottom with seven.

Tavua President Pranesh Prakash says today will be a huge stepping stone in terms of their fight for survival in the top division.

“We have a young team and the players know what to do. Nadi has not defeated us since we have been promoted and we will try to keep it that way.” He said.

Tavua and Nadi have played three times this season. Two games ended in a draw while Tavua beat Nadi 1-nil in the first round of the VPL.

The match kicks off at 3pm at Nadi’s Prince Charles Park
