WORLD Health Organization (WHO) Coordinator for Non-Communicable Disease Dr Wendy Snowdon has encouraged parents and caregivers to vaccinate their children.
Dr Snowdon said vaccination against meningococcal diseases saves lives.
“Getting vaccinated is something that is easy, simple and very safe,” she said.
The Ministry of Health and Medical Services will be conducting their mass vaccination program next week Monday in Ra for the Western Division and in the Central Division.
The nationwide meningococcal vaccination campaign will target more than 333,876 of children aged 1 to 19 years.
