THE University of the South Pacific has been commended for undertaking the initiative to invite employers to have sessions with potential graduates to help them groom for work opportunities.

Vodafone Fiji’s Human Resources Manager, Moureen Chand said this after the telecommunications company was invited to USP for a careers session last week at the USP’s ICT Centre.

Ms Chand said the initiative was also a way for USP students to address questions that they may have in regards to preparing for interviews or even choosing career paths.

“We strongly believe in our people and will continue to invest heavily in training and education of our staff,” Ms Chand said.

“The organization prides in their employees; 97 per cent are graduates and 60 per cent hold professional qualifications of Masters or above,” she said.

The team from Vodafone  also also highlighted on the importance of organizational culture which Vodafone carries as an emblem for the business excellence
