UNITY Fiji will win the 2018 elections, says Unity Fiji Party leader Savenaca Narube.

He highlighted this while addressing party members and party supporters during their first anniversary dinner in Suva last Friday.

“People have asked me as to why I claim that we are credible and my simple answer to them is that, we are credible because we have been there and done that,” Mr Narube said.

“We are not just claiming this credibility. We are credible because we have shown our accomplishments in leading Fiji, especially in the important areas of money and the economy. We promise you that we will do what we say we will do. That is where our credibility comes from.”

The former governor of the Reserve Bank of Fiji (RBF) said there was still a large number of undecided voters.

“I believe that the large number of undecided voters so close to the elections mean that they are waiting for a new beginning, for something better.

“They are waiting for a new leadership, one that is clean, fair, and credible. They are waiting for a new hope to restore freedoms and bring peace and happiness. I truly believe that Unity Fiji is this new hope for the country.”

Mr Narube said the party would continue to build its momentum.

“It has been a remarkable journey, I have learnt a lot.

“We are building our administration from the ground up, financing and convincing people to stand up is difficult in this political climate of fear.”
