WHILE the Unity Fiji party is yet to announce its list of candidates to contest the 2018 General Election, party leader Savenaca Narube said the party continued to conduct its outreach programs around the country.
Speaking from Vanua Levu yesterday, Mr Narube said the party was still screening its list of candidates and the party would be finalising it in the next three weeks.
He said 51 candidates would be announced soon.
“We’ve completed our visit to the West covering Ra and up to Nadroga, we then went to Rewa, Tailevu, also the Suva-Nausori corridor and now I’ve come to Vanua Levu,” Mr Narube said.
“We spent two days in Bua, we are now in Dreketi and then we will move on to Macuata so we are doing a lot of talanoa sessions with the communities.”
Mr Narube said the team that conducts outreach programs in communities consists of party volunteers. “We are introducing our party because it is a new party and we are introducing ourselves and the people behind the party.”
