UNITY Fiji says its supporters should expect some announcements in relation to their candidates soon.
Party leader Savenaca Narube said the party was expecting a “good mix of people” to be candidates for the party.
Mr Narube said the party had already received expressions of interest for candidacy from a good mix of people.
“We have people who have accomplished something in their lives and believe in the party’s vision,” he said.
Mr Narube said the first batch of candidates would be from the private, public and community service sectors.
He said the party would field 51 candidates for the 2018 General Election.
He said the party had started receiving a lot of expressions of interest for the political movement he was creating for the 2018 polls.
“Unity Fiji continues to receive expressions of interest for candidacy in the 2018 election,” he said.
