Uni students give local spin to modern day slavery

Update: 4:10PM THE #MyFreedomDay movement that focuses on modern day slavery was given a local spin by University of Fiji students in Lautoka today.

The students marked the March 14 event with a seminar on Fiji’s human trafficking history.

UniFiji lecturer Christal Kapoor said it was important for students to learn about the different forms of human trafficking in the country.

She said human trafficking was also another form of modern day slavery.
