THE Fiji Schoolboys under-18 rugby side is about to wrap up preparations for its tour to New Zealand later this month.
Team coach Elemaca Ravulo said the team had been in camp since the term two school holidays and they resume camp on Monday.
He said since the coaching panel and team management had a really good look at the boys in the earlier camp, the upcoming camp was to finetune the players.
“The final travelling squad was selected based on the discipline and attitude of the players on and off the field and towards their teammates,” Ravulo said.
“So now this week, it was all about structure, game plan and polishing up on a few areas before we depart on Monday next week.”
Ravulo said the support towards the team had been encouraging.
“We really acknowledge the assistance by the Fiji Rugby Union and we also managed to secure some support from CK Ezy Buy, from Vodafone and Coca-Cola has also been always behind us.
“Also, BLK popped in promised to supply our jerseys and while we are still waiting, we are optimistic they would give us a positive response.”
The national side will play Australia, New Zealand and New Zealand Barbarians during the tour from September 20 to October 4.
