TURAGA na Tui Namuka Ratu Tevita Niumataiwalu has reminded his people to uphold their duties in protecting the environment as God’s instruction in His Holy word.
In opening World Oceans Day at Lakeba Village, Namuka, Macuata today, Ratu Tevita said God had given humankind authority to look after His creations.
“But when men fail to do this, our oceans are affected and our environment as well,” Ratu Tevita said.
“So let’s all work together to care for our resources because we need it for our well-being.”
About 50 villagers participated in the clean-up program held at Lakeba Village.
