THE Fiji Airways Fiji 7s team is expected to storm into the Singapore 7s this weekend with a lot of firepower after a week’s rest from the Commonwealth Games gold medal final defeat in Australia.

The Gareth Baber-coached side, which is second in the standings, is expected to keep oppositions guessing, especially with the inclusion of Isake Katonibau, policeman Keponi Paul and Teri Tamani, who is likely to make his debut.

Baber said their inclusion would be a headache to oppositions.

“We are always looking at ways to improve our ability to create pressure on our opponents when we do not have the ball,” Baber said from Singapore yesterday.

“The idea of our defence is to get the ball back as we always know how ruthless our attack can be. All of our pool games will have their own elements which will test us. Our job is to focus on our strengths and force the opposition to concern themselves with how we play.”
