PRIME Minister Voreqe Bainimarama paid out $2.8million to pine landowners of Macuata and Bua this afternoon.

This payment is part of the lease security bonus from Fiji Pine Ltd.

In handing out the payments at Vesidrua Village in Macuata, Mr Bainimarama told landowners huge payment was made because his Government cared for every Fijian.

He pleaded with landowners to also work with Government and Fiji Pine in replanting pine after harvesting to boost production.
