THE Fijian Tourism Expo (FTE) 2019 will be held over the course of three days in May next year.

In a press release, Tourism Fiji confirmed the annual expo would be held from May 22 to May 24 at the Denarau Island Conventional Centre.

Minister for Industry, Trade, Tourism and Lands and Mineral Resources Faiyaz Koya said they looked forward to next year’s event.

“Despite the cancellation of the 2018 Expo due to weather conditions beyond our control, industry partners know we did our best and put their safety before all else,” he said.

“I am sure tourism stakeholders are eager to come back to Fiji for another international tourism event in 2019.”

According to Tourism Fiji, the trade exhibition would include scheduled appointments for international buyers and the media to engage Fiji’s tourism industry.

Tourism Fiji CEO Matthew Stoeckel said they expected another successful event in 2019.

“We’re pleased to make the announcement and know that our industry partners and stakeholders will be equally excited about FTE 2019,” he said.

“Our annual expo is the perfect opportunity for Fiji to showcase the best of what we have to offer and I encourage our local Industry to attend and participate.

“Registrations will soon be open and we look forward to welcoming our buyers back to Fiji for another unique Fijian experience.”
