THE six queen contestants taking part in the 2018 Vodafone Tebara Carnival visited the Wainibokasi Hospital in Nausori yesterday. Queens co-ordinator Tebara Committee Sangeeta Kumar said the visitation was a heart-touching experience for the girls and it was a milestone achievement for them.

“When they went and met the people, it made them proud of who they were and their sponsors.

Secondly, they understood the patients and sang songs for them. People appreciated their presence as they met each and everyone at the hospital,” Ms Kumar said.

The contestants also visited the St Christopher’s Home in Nausori on Monday.

The carnival’s theme this year is “Our Environment our Future” and the event concludes this Saturday.
