Top clash in Ba

WAILAILAI Sonic will face Young Brothers in the top of the table clash during the Ba Football Association local league competition at Govind Park tomorrow.

The two teams are unbeaten in the competition.

There will be no rest for the district players ahead of the opening round of the Courts Inter-District Competition next week as they will be featuring for their respective club teams.

Defending champion 4R Electrical which comprises majority of the Ba players will take on Racecourse.

4R Electrical will be hoping to bounce back in the competition after going down to Nailaga 0-2 in a major upset last week.

Association secretary Iliyaz Khan said the clubs would be out in full force.

Khan said Wailailai Sonic and Young Brothers would be playing two matches.

“We want to maintain the momentum so the competition concludes before the deadline for the National Club Championship in November,” he said.

“All the district reps will be in action and this will give them more game time as we prepare for the IDC.”

Meanwhile the association has congratulated two of its executives for securing seats in parliament.

Parveen Kumar Bala and Rosy Sofia Akbar were sworn in as new ministers on Wednesday.

Khan said they were proud to have two of their own in parliament. He said the duo put in a lot of hard work running the affairs of Ba football and would be an asset in the decision making of the affairs of the country.

Bala is the Minister for Local Government, Housing and Environment while Akbar is the Minister for Women, Children and Poverty Alleviation.
