SIX teams will compete at this year’s Sikh tournament to kick off this morning at Korovuto College grounds in Nadi.
Former champion Ba and southern giant Nasinu are two teams highly tipped to walk away with the trophy.
Tournament official Rashmeer Singh said while Ba and Nasinu had been tipped for the top award, all other teams could not be written off.
He said the competition would be interesting as all teams would battle again after a lapse of three years.
“We did not have games for the past three years and this year all teams will want to make their mark,” said Singh.
“Ba and Nasinu dominated past events and surely they have been tipped to win but again we cannot count other teams out.”
He said the event would also be an opportune time for the players and their family members to meet and socialise.
The participating teams include Rewa, Tailevu, Nasinu, Ba, Nadi,Tavua.
