THE iTaukei Lands Trust Board managed to reduce their customer service complaints by 40 per cent after a review of their procedures as part of their quality control efforts.

Presenting at the Quality Control Symposium in Labasa this week, the boards QC representative in Labasa Inia Corerega said a finding by the team indicated that the northern office recorded a total of 989 overdue lease application cases last year alone.

Mr Corerega said so far this year, they had recorded 758 overdue cases.

Also presenting at the symposium, branch legal adviser Kelepi Ratule said that through the use of quality control methods, they were able to improve their counter service and information delivery for the past four months.

Mr Ratule said the branch had a ‘happy or not machine’ where customers would indicate if they were happy or not with their services.

“The ‘happy or not machine’ achieved a progressive result of over 50 per cent starting from June this year,” he said.
