THE Fiji Police Force is concerned with the huge number of Traffic Infringement Notices (TINs) issued to drivers last month.

Director Traffic Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) Mahesh Mishra said under the Operation Tatarovi II that was conducted last month police had issued 19,699 TINS compared to the 2775 issued out around the same period last year.

SSP Mishra said this was alarming.

“Now this indicates that there is a lot of drivers that needs to take safety first and they need to comply with the road rules,” he said.

Detailed report in tomorrow’s E-edition and newspaper.
