FIJI’S oldest newspaper company, The Fiji Times, has been nominated for the regional brand of the year in the 2018 News Media Awards.

The winner of this category will be announced on September 14 at the Hilton in Sydney, Australia.

Along with the company, editor-in-chief Fred Wesley has also been nominated as the news media executive of the year.

The 2018 News Media Awards recognises the excellence in cross-platform news publishing in Australia, New Zealand and the Asia Pacific.
