HINDUS across Fiji marked the end of Ram Navami, which began on March 18, on Monday.
This year’s Ram Navami was for nine days.
Devotees celebrated the birth of Lord Rama amid cultural songs and dance.
Hindu schools were also closed to enable children to be part of the auspicious event. I think children should always be a part of all our religious events so that the values and teachings are not lost. Sometimes children want to keep away because the sessions are too long.
I think people come when your sessions are interesting, short and to the point.
I believe Ram Navami is one of the main events on the Hindu religious calendar every year. Devotees very proudly celebrate Ram Navami. I wish to thank the various mandali and religious groups for promoting our culture and heritage and keeping it alive.
