THE Lautoka-based Williams & Gosling mixed volleyball team is aiming for the top award in this weekend’s Nadi Airport International Volleyball Festival at Prince Charles Park in Nadi.
The side has been working hard at training –– working on various combinations to counter any opposition in its quest to fulfil its goal.
The team lost to Judicial in last year’s quarter-final and will be out to improve its performance this year.
Team manager Mariana Leweni said players had been busy at training every afternoon. She said the team also trained every Saturday –– working on their fitness and team combination.
“Our team reached the quarter-final last year and our aim is to win the tournament this year,” said Leweni.
“The players have been working hard at training perfecting their skills and combination. “The players also trained every Saturday in our quest to do well at the competition.”
