Tawake youths farming initiatives impresses

THE farming initiatives led by youths of Tawake in Cakaudrove on Vanua Levu can definitely attract Government assistance, says Minister for Youth and Sports Laisenia Tuitubou.
In an interview, Mr Tuitubou said the farming scheme initiated by Tawake Village youths economically empowered the young generation.
“This is encouraging and we have visited similar programs in villages around the country and we have seen young people succeed through farming programs,” he said.
The youths of Tawake Village are involved in a scheme that started three years ago and has 40,000 yaqona plants.
