Taumoepeau prepare youngster for regionals

ASPIRING Fijian boxer, Christopher Zoing is currently being coached by Fiji amateur boxing coach Napoleon Taumoepeau in the lead up to the Oceania Boxing Championship which begins tomorrow in Apia, Samoa.

Taumoepeau, a former heavy weight boxer himself had coached Winston Hill to the 2018 Commonwealth Games where Hill settled for a bronze medal.

He also coached Hill in 2016 for the Olympic Games in Brazil.

“This is the 2018 Youth Oceania Boxing Championships. The medalists from this competition qualify for both the 2018 Youth World Championships in Hungry as well as the 2018 Youth Olympics in Buenos Aires,” Taumoepeau said.

“We will be facing tough competition from Australia, New Zealand, Tahiti and Samoa.”
