THE University of the South Pacific’s (USP) Pacific Technical and Further Education (TAFE) centre in Nadi has been announced as a member of the Continuing Professional Development (CPD) Accreditation Service of the United Kingdom.

USP deputy vice chancellor and president Professor Richard Coll said as a result, units offered by Pacific TAFE would be reviewed to be aligned with the CPD.

“I am glad to mention that Pacific TAFE is now a member of the Continuing Professional Development (CPD) Accreditation Service of UK,” Prof COll said.

“The courses developed by Workforce Development Training Unit (WDTU) are undergoing evaluation and will soon qualify for CPD points.

“Having achieved CPD accreditation will make our WDTU courses internationally-recognised and portable as well.

“There will be more USP short courses offered through Nadi Centre later this year and in the future.”
