Taekwondo championship next Saturday

THE 6th Korean Ambassador’s Cup Taekwondo Championship will be held at FMF Gym, Suva on Saturday, July 21, 2018.

The Korean Ambassador’s Cup Taekwondo Championship has been initiated by the Korean Embassy since 2013 to nurture Taekwondo talents of Fiji and the Pacific Region.

Taekwondo is a traditional Korean martial art and an official Olympic event.

The competition will feature two categories: Sparring and Poomsae (a series of attacking and defensive movements against an imaginary opponent).

Medals will be awarded to the winners of each category including the MVP(Most Valuable Player) at the end of the Competition.

This event aims to elevate Fiji’s Taekwondo practitioner’s skill and contribute to foster future Olympic medalist of Fiji
