FIJI Golf Club will host a President’s fundraising golf and dinner event on September 29 at the club in Vatuwaqa, Suva.
Fiji Golf Club vice-president Marika Vada said the part of the funds raised would go towards charity.
“Some of the proceeds of the charity will be given to the Dilkusha Home, Single Mothers Nadi and Chevalier Hostel,” he said.
“The dinner night is the celebration of the season and it is the second event since the first one was hosted last year.
“We are targeting over 300 people to come for this noble cause. We wanted to celebrate the year and give a little bit of care to those who were less fortunate.”
The ticket prices are $60 per person including the golf registration and the dinner while the non-golfers and the spouse of the golfers can also attend the event as the ticket prices for them are $50.
“We will have a golf tournament on the day which will start at 11am,” he added.
“We found out that last year there were a lot of non-golfers who attended the event and we are expecting the same.”
