TEAM Fiji stamped its mark by winning the Pacific Team Challenge during the Vanuatu Surf Festival.

The icing on the cake was the achievement by Keisha Wakeham who won the under-14 and U18 girls competitions.

Wakeham’s sister Kayla also joined her sister in the top three, winning the bronze medal in the U14 girls final.

Other surfers who made their mark in Vanuatu were Elena Chongsue who finished fourth in the U14 girls final, Darcy Dwyer who also claimed the fourth spot in the U14 grade and Hannah Bennett who finished second in the women’s open competition.

Bennett who is also the vice-president of the Fiji Surfing Association said the team did well.

She said the surfers gave their best in all the events and came out on top winning the Pacific Team Challenge.

Bennett thanked Kontiki Finance and Cloudbreak Clothing for the support in sponsoring the tour.
