SUPPORTERS of Style Fiji, a charity glitz and glamour event that has collected more than $700,000 over the past seven years, are already securing tables for this year’s show.
Slated for December 1, tickets are selling fast for the “Style Fiji in Bollywood” themed night, says Marlene Vuniwaqa Blake, one of the organisers of the much sought after event.
“People need to book early to avoid disappointment because people are already reserving tables,” she said.
“It will be an evening filled with current and past beauty queens, models, dancers, musicians, and designers connected to Fiji.
“Following the success of Style Fiji 2017, Project Bula Mai presented a second cheque of $35,000 to Cure Kids Fiji on August 7 this year at the Sofitel Resort and Spa. Other projects for 2018 included the giving of three fogging machines valued at $10,000 to the Divisional Medical Officer Western to assist with the Ministry of Health’s dengue campaign.”
Style Fiji will soon commence with the construction in Nadi of a double garage for St Johns ambulances.
“Funds raised at our Style Fiji show will be used to purchase a second ambulance, having donated one in November 2017. A second ambulance will enable St Johns to provide a much improved and more reliable service to the community.”
Tickets are selling at $165 and the program includes a cocktail hour, dinner, auction, fashion and entertainment with a live band and dancing at the Sofitel Resort and Spa Grand Ballroom.
