Update: 1:48PM STUDENTS from the Fiji Vocational and Technical Training Centre for Persons with Disability (FVTTCPD) took part in a range of activities to commemorate World Down Syndrome and Autism Day today.

Association president Anthony Ho acknowledged the FNCPD for allowing them to be part of the celebrations. 

“Fiji Table Tennis is very proud to be associated with you all for this day as you know, Fiji Table Tennis has been involved with various programs concerco-hostedsons living with disabilities since 2009,” Mr Ho said. 

He added that today was a special day because it helped raise awareness on autism and down syndrome.

“Today is a very special day as it also coincides with our Easter celebrations so we really want to raise awareness on people with down syndrome and autism as well as all the other disabilities that we’ve been trying to raise awareness on,” he said. 

The event was co-hosed by the Fiji National Council for Person’s living with Disability, Fiji Table Tennis Association and Smash Down Barriers at the FNCPD complex in Suva.
